  1. The midget minor State championship game was the end of the regular season which featured two of the most deserving teams. The Naperville Sabres who were the regular season CSDHL points leader vs. the second place CSDHL point leader Northwest Chargers had all of the necessary ingredients for a great game. Unfortunately, as the final score indicates it wasn't as close of a game as some had predicted. Both teams fought hard, played a clean game and should be proud of their season.

  2. The surprise of the tournament has to go to the Northern Express. After finishing 8th out of 11 teams in the midget major CSDHL regular season the Express dug deep to shall we say "steal the flag". New coach Silenzi has to take much of the credit to be able to have his team accomplish such a feat. For those that don't know there are a few kids on the team who have gone to the National tournament the last 3 years in a row. This feat has to bug the Chargers because that's where they came from. Great job Mike and awesome job kids.
