Wolves Cup
Tournament
Elite Levels:
All Elite levels will participate in a round robin format. This format involves all
tournament teams being divided into two-four team division, with each team playing 3
games over the period of Feb. 17th – Feb. 21st. The winners of each division will
advance to the Championship games the weekend of Feb. 26th- 27th, while the second
place teams will advance to the Consolation games that same weekend.
Mite: Of the 8 teams, all 8 teams will advance to the round robin tournament.
Squirt: Of the 9 teams, the top 8 teams will advance to the round robin tournament.
Peewee: Of the 8 teams, all 8 teams will advance to the round robin tournament.
Bantam: Of the 10 teams, the top 8 teams will advance to the round robin tournament.
Midget A: Of the 7 teams, the top 6 teams will advance to the round robin tournament.
Midget B: Of the 10 teams, the top 8 teams will advance to the round robin tournament.
Gold Levels:
All Gold levels will participate in a round robin format. This format involves all
tournament teams being divided into two-four team division, with each team playing 3
games over the period of Feb. 17th – Feb. 21st. The winners of each division will

format involves all tournament teams playing a first round game at the home rink of the
higher seed during the week of Feb. 15th – Feb. 22nd. The winners of these games will
advance to play in the second round games Feb. 26th, and those winners will advance to
play in the second third round games Feb. 27th. The winners of the third round games
will advance to the Championship games Mar. 5th while the losers of the third round
games will advance to the Consolation games that same day.
Mite Silver A: Of the 8 teams in tier 1, all 8 teams will advance to the tournament as
seeds #1 - #8. Of the 8 teams in tier 2, all 8 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds
#9 - #16.
Mite Silver B: Of the 8 teams in tier 1, all 8 teams will advance to the tournament as
seeds #1 - #8. Of the 8 teams in tier 2, all 8 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds
#9 - #16.
Squirt: Of the 10 teams in tier 1, the top 8 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds
#1 - #8. Of the 9 teams in tier 2, the top 5 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds
#9 - #13. Of the 9 teams in tier 3, the top 3 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds
#14 - #16.
Peewee: Of the 9 teams in tier 1, the top 7 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds
#1 - #7. Of the 11 teams in tier 2, the top 6 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds
#8 - #13. Of the 8 teams in tier 3, the top 3 teams will advance to the tournament as
seeds #14 - #16.
Bantam: Of the 10 teams in tier 1, the top 8 teams will advance to the tournament as
seeds #1 - #8. Of the 14 teams in tier 2, the top 8 teams will advance to the tournament as
seeds #9 - #16.
Bronze Levels:
The bronze teams will participate in a single elimination format. This format involves all
tournament teams playing a first round game at the home rink of the higher seed during
the week of Feb. 15th – Feb. 22nd. The winners of these games will advance to play in
the second round games Feb. 26th, and those winners will advance to play in the second
third round games Feb. 27th. The winners of the third round games will advance to the
Championship games Mar. 6th, while the losers of the third round games will advance to
the Consolation games that same day.
Mite: This level will participate in a 16 team format. Of the 9 teams in tier 1, all 9 teams
will advance to the tournament as seeds #1 - #9. Of the 8 teams in tier 2, all 8 teams will
advance to the tournament as seeds #10 - #17. The 16th and 17th seeded teams will
participate in a “play-in” game (date, time, and location TBA), with the winner advancing
to the first round game.
Squirt: This level will participate in a 16 team format. Of the 9teams in tier 1, the top 8
teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #1 - #8. Of the 8 teams in tier 2, the top 5
teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #9 - #13. Of the 8 teams in tier 3, the top 3
teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #14 - #16.
Peewee: This level will participate in a 16 team format. Of the 10 teams in tier 1, the top
9 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #1 - #9 . Of the 10 teams in tier 2, the
top 7 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #10 - #16.
Bantam: This level will participate in a seeded 8 team, single elimination format. Of the
10 teams at this level, the top 8 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #1 - #8.
None of these teams will play in the “first round”, but will play their first games as part
of the “second round” on Saturday Feb. 26th.
The U12 and U 16 girls’ gold levels will participate in a seeded single elimination format.
This format involves all tournament teams playing games during the weekend of Feb.
26th – Feb. 27th. At the U12 level, the #3 seed will play the #6 seed, while the #4 seed
will play the #5 seed in two games on Saturday Feb 26th, with the winners advancing to
play in two semifinal games with the #1 and #2 seeds on Sunday Feb. 27th. The winners
of these two semifinal games will advance to play in the Championship game Mar. 4th,
while the losers will advance to the Consolation games that same weekend (TBD). At
U16 level, the #4 seed will play the #5 seed on Saturday Feb 26th, with the winner
advancing to play in two semifinal games with the #1, #2, and #3 seeds on Sunday Feb.
27th. The winners of these two semifinal games will advance to play in the
Championship game Mar. 4th, while the losers will advance to the Consolation games
that same weekend (TBD).
U12: Of the 7 teams, the top 6 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #1 - #6.
U 16: Of the 6 teams, the top 5 teams will advance to the tournament as seeds #1 - #5.
The top two U10 girls’ gold level teams (as determined by their regular season standings)
will participate in a championship game with the date, time, and location TBD.
