Seeding Round: Bubble Teams

In a quick follow up to last week's NIHL Seeding Round Nearing Completion, let's check in on how the bubble teams fared.

Mite

Glenview Stars and Falcons remain undefeated after 7 games.  The Ice Dogs finished at 6-1-1, and Winnetka stood at 6-1 with one to play.  All look like locks for the move to Elite.  The Yellow Jackets finished the seeding round without a win and at -52 are heading to Silver.  Peoria is in the same boat with a game left.  Bloomington, St Jude, and Winnetka 2 are still in the hunt for a promotion to Gold.

Squirt

Not much has changed with a few more games in the books.  Bloomington finished undefeated, and 3 teams stood at 6-1 with one to play (Winnetka, Express, and Leafs).  Destined for Elite?  The Blues and Huskies remain winless and could be going to Silver.  Vikings and Leafs have goose eggs in the loss column and are in line for an upgrade.

PeeWee

Yellow Jackets and Cyclones shut it down defensively and in the standings.  Going to Elite with these two is likely to be the Sabres, Vikings, and Northbrook Bluehawks.  Glenview Stars are holding out hope for a win with two to go.  At 8-0, St Jude is movin' on up!  CYA is also in the mix for a ticket out of Silver.

Keep in mind that the tiers will be announced following next Monday's NIHL Board meeting.  Check back with us next week to find out where each of these teams landed.
