Total. Victory.An out of court settlement has been reached between Minnesota Made Hockey Inc. and Minnesota Hockey Inc., ending a dispute over a rule which allowed players to participate in only one hockey league at a time. The rule, which was put in place for the 2010-11 season in Minnesota Hockey District 6, prohibited players from participating on two competitive teams at the same time.Minnesota Made claimed that the rule was a violation of antitrust laws and commenced a lawsuit against Minnesota Hockey in September 2010. The District 6 rule has since been replaced by a Minnesota Hockey player commitment rule which provides teams and local assocations with the authority to address, in a non-disciminatory manner, players missing team activities. The new commitment rule allows players to participate in multiple hockey programs.
