AA and House Youth Hockey Fees 2011

This time of year, we put alot of effort into consolidating fees for the majority of the Chicago area youth hockey clubs into a database. Thank you to all who completed our survey! If you have not already done so, please take a couple of minutes to fill out a survey now.

I am publishing a Google Docs version of the master 2011-12 fees database. This should make it easy for you to compare the fees charged by most clubs. If you don't find what you are looking for in there, check back in a few days as I'm still working on the database. The database will automatically update when changes are made. You will find the link after the jump.

Notes

A couple of notes on the database. First, any league members outside the immediate Chicago area, or the State, are excluded. Second, the database may be missing some information but I will try to make it as complete as I can make it. For example, I do not know the uniform charges for most clubs but many have them. If you have some information that will help complete the table, please post it in anonymously in the comments.

Next, I have endeavored to make the prices as comparable as possible. Discounts for early registration are excluded for this reason. Mandatory raffle tickets may be excluded from the sticker price, so add the dollar amount in the 'fundraising' row to get the total fee in those cases. The highest fee is presented for tryouts and conditioning for those clubs that vary the fee according to the age group.

There is considerable variation in what is included in the ADM/minor/silver mite programs. Non-resident prices are used for all park district clubs. As always, your mileage may vary. Finally, you must investigate what is included in the fee in order to evaluate the overall value you will receive from a given club. This year, I will attempt to gather data about the average of sheets of ice per week included in the travel fees.

Corrections To The Database
