Bob Melton out as WHA's Hockey Director

After a decade as hockey director of the Wilmette Hockey Association, Bob Melton is moving on to greener pastures. Bob was elected to the Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009 in the player category, and had the pleasure of coaching his son as he notched the game winning goal in the Blackhawk Cup (State Championship) this past March ... his 8th in 14 years of coaching New Trier Green.

As a player, Bob Melton played youth hockey for the Northbrook Bluehawks and achieved the Division 1 hockey level playing for the UIC Flames.

Bob Melton will likely focus his energies on the Trevians, while the WHA will set about finding a new hockey director to fill Bob's big shoes.
