Headlines: Stabbing at Rolling Meadows Rink

Myfoxchicago.com and Chicagobreakingnews.com are reporting a stabbing that occurred last weekend (10/1-10/3) at the Park District's Nelson Sports Complex in Rolling Meadows.  Gee that's some breaking news.  I guess they found out yesterday when the attacker was arraigned in court.

Both reports state that a youth hockey tournament was under way at the time, but there is no mention about whether or not these are hockey dads involved.  MyFox also states that the perp, Jesse Mendoza, attacked a "romantic rival" ... apparently the boyfriend of the suspect's ex-fiancee.

Thankfully no children witnessed the attack.  The stories can be found here and here.

I can find no tournament scheduled in Rolling Meadows, so if anyone can shed some light on what the reporters are talking about in the comments I would appreciated it.
