Southwest Ball Hockey Registration Opens 4-16-11

Get outside this summer! Southwest Ball Hockey opens registration this weekend for the upcoming summer season. Ball hockey is an outstanding alternative to going to a dank, dark rink in July and August.

The 10 game season is played outdoors on a DEK surface. Players must wear gym shoes, and required equipment includes face guards, shin guards, elbow pads and hockey gloves. The hockey stick must have a plastic or ABS blade with no tape.

Registration is April 16, 17, and 23 from 10 am to 2 pm at the rink, which is located at this address:

5801 West 115th Street
Alsip, IL 60803

More after the jump.

If you have not been there before, the facility is great:

Southwest Ball Hockey is inexpensive, and the program is very well run.  One way to think of it is an extended off-ice practice.  If you live in the south or southwest suburbs, check it out!
