To me, the end of the long and arduous fall/winter hockey season always signaled a time for healing (literally) and reflection.
So to that end, in today's blog, I offer "S-P-R-I-N-G" by the letters. It is my attempt to lead the hockey-weary family back to normalcy--that is, if such a thing actually exists.
S - Scale-back all activities and in general--simply SLOW down your lives.
P - Plan on addressing those you likely have been neglecting--i.e. aunts, uncles and grandparents.
R - Relax your mind as well...consider investigating techniques that facilitate the ability to re-focus your minds-eye and re-prioritize your life more judiciously
I - Ingest healthier foods on a daily basis...(reduce soda intake as well as highly salted fast foods).
N - Nature awaits you ... discover the great outdoors and breathe the fresh air and feel the sun's energizing and healing powers--for a change--not zamboni fumes!
G - Give-back to your association, community or club in some small way--i.e.--(offer to mentor a young player just learning the game or clean and donate your equipment to allow for an under-privileged youngster to play).
Best of luck.
